TID to review budget, investment activities

The Turlock Irrigation District Board of Directors will take up a series of reports on Tuesday morning, as TID staff continue to prepare the upcoming 2014 budget.
General Manager Casey Hashimoto and Chief Financial Officer Joe Malaski will present reports to the Board of Directors reviewing the 2014 budget, following a report of TID's investment portfolio and a summary of investment activities as of Sept. 30.
Additionally, the Board of Directors will be provided with a dam safety report by Chief Dam Safety Engineer Peggy Harding.
During the closed session portion of the meeting, General Manager Hashimoto will meet with property negotiators for continued discussions of TID's acquisition of the former Turlock Police Department property at 900 N. Palm Street.
The TID Board of Directors is also expected to:
• Conduct a hearing and consider the closure of Improvement District 1524, also known as the Inzana-Tomlinson Pipeline, containing a total of 156.48 acres.
• Receive staff reports on electric service division, power, water and irrigation updates.
The TID Board of Directors meeting will be held at 9 a.m. on Tuesday at 333 East Canal Dr.
