Anne Matson went to be with her Lord and Savior Thursday, June 12, 2014. She was born on January 1, 1923 in Chicago, Il. She was raised in Gary, Indiana where she attended local schools and graduated from Emerson High School.  She moved with her family to Delhi, California in the late 1940’s. She met the love of her life, Samuel Matson, and they were married and moved to Turlock in 1951.  They enjoyed many happy years together supporting their family and community until Sam’s death in 1993.   She lived independently in Turlock, and recently moved to Paramount Court, also in Turlock.

Anne Matson was dedicated to her church family; she truly enjoyed the women’s Bible study classes, and sharing time with friends there.  Another passion of Anne’s was entertaining her family and friends. 

Memories of Anne will be carried on by her surviving siblings, Lillian Gordon, and Pirus Abraham Jr. She was preceded in death by her parents, Pirus and Sophie Abraham, siblings William, Robert, and Albert Abraham. 

The love shared by Sam and Anne lives on in their daughters and their families; Pamela (Richard) Metzger and Corinne Matson (Annarae Luevano), grandchildren Ryan and Melissa Metzger, Marcos (Valerie) Luevano and family.

She will be laid to rest next to her husband, Sam Matson.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 18, at 10:00 a.m. in the Turlock Funeral Home Chapel, 425 N. Soderquist Rd., in Turlock.
