Barbara Ruth Otto

Barbara Ruth Otto, 83, passed away Saturday in Turlock. In her younger years, she worked at Mair Island in Vallejo, then after worked for the canneries for 40 years. Barbara was a loving mother to eight children; Joann Walsh, Rick Valocsik, Robert Otto, Diane Silveira (deceased), Barbara Davis, Shirley Leanardo, Thomas Otto, and Linda White. She had seven siblings, Olinda Prather (deceased), Francis Storm (deceased), Juanita Wilson (deceased), Marie Gomes (deceased), John Freitas (deceased), Dorthy Gorcavich, and Ina Clare Iscano. Barbara has 15 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 30 with a celebration of life to follow at 1:00 p.m. at Turlock Funeral Home Chapel, 425 N. Soderquist Rd. Turlock.
