Billy Joe Tacker, 74, of Turlock, passed away after a long illness. His wife Wendy was by his side as she has been for more than 43 years. Bill served in the U.S. Army and U.S. Air Force for a total of 20 years. He worked for the City of Turlock for 22 years. He was an avid outdoorsman and loved camping, fishing, and after retirement, traveling in his motor home.

Bill was loved by everyone who met him and his sense of humor will be missed terribly.

In addition to his loving wife, he is survived by his sons, Jobie (Chris) and Bryan (Dawn); grandchildren, Dana, Kyle and Morgan; sisters Mary and Nancy; and numerous other friends and family. He was preceded in death by his mother, brother and uncle.

Visitation will be held from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 27 at Allen Mortuary.  A funeral will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 28 at Allen Mortuary in Turlock, with burial following at Turlock Memorial Park.
