Doug Cribbet, 34, of Turlock, died in his home on Dec. 19.
Doug was born in Modesto, spent most of his life in Turlock and graduated from Turlock High. Doug was a vibrant outgoing man, who accomplished anything he set his mind to. One of Doug’s passions was his 1973 Camaro; he spent many hours tinkering, fixing and speeding down the back roads in it. Doug also loved the outdoors, especially the mountains. He loved to go hunting and fishing.
Doug lived spontaneously, on a whim he would fuel up the car and hit the road. During the summer months he was always ready to barbecue and spend time with his friends and family.
Doug was the kind of man who would give you his last dollar, if he had it, and you needed it, what ever it was, he provided. He was a great friend, a loving father, brother and son. Doug’s death has impacted all that knew him, he will be greatly missed.
Doug is survived by his mother, Lori Kole of Turlock; children, Justin Cribbet, Timmy Cribbet and Victoria Cribbet; and sisters, Tonya Gonzalez of Merced, Misty Martin of Turlock and Casey Cribbet of Turlock. He is also survived by his grandparents, John and Bertha Briggs of Turlock.
Doug was preceded in death by his father, Douglas Cribbet Sr.
A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. on Dec. 31 at Allen Mortuary.
