Geraldine Lynn, known as Geri, 63, unexpectedly passed away on Wednesday, December 20. Geri was born in July of 1954 in Turlock to Jerial and Elsie Olson. She was named after her father and was the youngest of five children, Esther, Edith, and Bonnie, and Clifford. Geri grew up in Turlock, graduated from Turlock High School, attended Modesto Junior College, and worked for over forty years as an accounting manager at Valley Distributors in Turlock. In 1974, Geri married Roger Lynn, and they had two daughters, Jennifer and Julie. The family was and continues to be close, and Geri loved spending time with them and sharing her favorite hobbies, including cycling, reading, sailing, snow skiing, and visiting wine country. The past several years were challenging as well as joyful: Geri courageously fought and survived breast cancer, retired, and celebrated the births of her two grandchildren. Her kindness, generosity, strength, good humor, and fun-loving spirit are cherished and will be greatly missed. 

Geri is remembered by her husband and soulmate, Roger Lynn (Turlock); her daughters and best friends, Jennifer Simonson (Clovis, CA) and Julie Jette (Colfax, CA); her sons-in-law, Brad Simonson and Shannon Jette; grandbuddies, Hunter Jette and Braelyn Simonson; her two living sisters, Esther Eyre (O’Fallon, IL) and Edith Pollack (San Diego, CA); and other extended family members and friends. A memorial service will be held for Geri on Thursday, January 4, 2018 at 11:00 am at New Life Christian Center, 2918 W. Tuolumne Road, Turlock, CA 95380.
