For My Dad by your daughter Patti
My Dad was a person
who was loving and kind.
And often he knew
what I had on my mind.
He was someone who listened
suggests and defends.
My Dad was one
of my very best friends!
He was proud of my triumphs,
but when things went wrong
My Dad was patient,
helpful and strong.
In all that you do,
a Dad’s love plays a part.
There’s always a place for him
deep in your heart!
And each year that passes,
I'm even more glad,
More grateful and proud,
just to call him my Dad.
Thank you Dad,
for listening and caring,
For giving and sharing.
But, especially, for just being you!
I Love you and will miss you everyday
