Harold Duncanson, 91, of Modesto passed away at Doctor’s Hospital on Oct. 10. He was born in Sparta, Wis. to Walter and Josephine Duncanson in 1919. He lived in the Modesto area for 57 years. Harold was a teacher in the Modesto Schools for over 30 years. For 25 years, he was the shop teacher at La Loma Junior High School. He was a member of the Modesto Church of the Brethren. Harold enjoyed gardening, traveling, and sports. Most of all, he was a craftsman and volunteered his time helping others with home repairs. Harold was a ranked chess player. God and family were his life.
Harold was preceded in death by his wife, Kathryn, in January. He is survived by his children, Karleen Daniels and Ronald Duncanson, both of Modesto; siblings, Marjorie Johnson, Earl Duncanson and Robert Duncanson; four grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren.
Arrangements are entrusted to Allen Mortuary. A celebration of life will be held at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 30 at the Modesto Church of the Brethren, 2301 Woodland Ave., Modesto.
