Harvey was born Jan. 16, 1920 in Emery, SD.  He passed away peacefully in his home on Aug. 20, 2016.  He graduated from McCook County School in Emery, SD in 1934. Harvey was a farmer his entire life. He married Louise R. Fluth on Sept. 20, 1940. They had five children. Harvey and Louise moved from Emery to Turlock, CA in 1970 where they farmed and operated a dairy for many years. Harvey enjoyed livestock and farm auctions, going fishing and playing cards. His face lit up when he saw his grandkids.

Harvey is survived by his two daughters, Joanne (Ralph) Holm & Lavonne Hall, his son, James (Sandra) Terveen, ten grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-granddaughter. He is preceded in death by his parents, Albert & Grace Terveen, his wife Louise, his two sons, Dennis and Robert Terveen, and grandson Ricky Holm.  

A Memorial Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Sat., Sept. 3, at Turlock Funeral Home, 425 N. Soderquist Rd., Turlock CA. A reception will follow the services at the same location.
