Jay Jensen was born on January 28, 1933, in Luck, Wisconsin, and passed away surrounded by his family on September 17, 2014, in Turlock, California.  He was a loving and dedicated husband, father, and grandfather, but to many others he was known as the owner of the 7-Eleven on Geer Road in Turlock.  He was a proud veteran who served in the Air Force in Tripoli from 1952 - 1956.  After his military service, he moved to Michigan where he became a senior product designer for Hamill Manufacturing where he held two patent designs, most notably the retractable seatbelt.  In 1978, he moved back to Turlock, where he graduated from Turlock High in 1951, with his family and became a small business owner.  After thirty-five years of owning his own business, he finally retired in 2012 to enjoy life.  He is survived by his wife of forty-five years, Sharon Jensen, his children, Karen, Janet, David, Tim, and Jennifer, twelve grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.  He is also survived by his sisters Ardene, Margie, and Arliss, and his brothers Frank, Miles, and Harlan.  Jay will always be remembered for his kindness, his dedication to his family, his strong demeanor, and his ability to help others.
