Turlock

Russell was born in Pawtuckett , RI on April 27, 1930. Moved to Oakland ,CA with his Mother in 1943. He served in the US Army 1948-1952. Then worked and Retired as an Iron worker with the California Iron Workers Union. After he retired he worked as a real estate agent. He moved to the central valley area in 1987 and where he met Agnes. Russell was always up to something and seemed to know someone where ever he went. He bought, operated and sold 2 horse ranches and an auto wrecking yard. He and Agnes operated a used car lot. He loved hotrods, cool cars, swap meets and the people that went with them. In the last 15yrs he built a 1923 and 1927 T-bucket Roadsters. He was dearly loved and will be missed.
He is preceded in death by his mother & father, Marie Guiattare & Joseph Sousa
He is survived by his wife, Agnes Johnson, his son, Bryan Johnson, his brothers, Jeff Sousa, Jonathan (Gus) Sousa, his sister, Patty Christianson, his granddaughter, Janesa Johnson and nephew, Mathew Hutchinson.
A funeral mass will be held at 1pm on Friday, November 4, 2011 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Turlock. Burial will follow at Turlock Memorial Park.
