Willie Eugene Daniel 81 of Turlock Ca passed peacefully on July 9, 2014 at Hospice House in Hughson.

He was born in Vinita Oklahoma on July 30, 1932 to John William and Virginia Mae Darnell Daniel. He is preceded in death by his parents, brother Jack Daniel, two infant sons and 3 infant daughters. He leaves behind his beloved wife Helen, daughter Sharon (Paul) Amos of Turlock, grandsons Steven (Shawna) Corbin of Modesto, Kevin Lindsey of Sacramento, granddaughter Caroline Corbin of Sacramento, a great granddaughter Winter Corbin, and his beloved cat Toby. He also leaves behind four sisters and two brothers. Marie Stracener of Ceres, Kenneth Daniel of Nevada, Mary (Bert) Walters of Turlock, Lola Strickland of Oakdale, Lynn Daniel of Nevada, Virginia Daniel of Oakdale and a sister in law Joann Daniel of California City. Willie worked for the Stevinson Corporation with his dad and brothers before he owned a gas station in Hilmar in the 1950’s. After marrying Helen Hamilton, he went to work in Turkey ranching in Delhi and Sanger. Willie then moved his family back to the area and began employment at Foster Farms. He worked in construction then went to receiving at the mill in Livingston for 28 years before retiring. He loved his family dearly and always looked forward to big family get togethers. He will be missed by all and forgotten by none. The family wishes in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Alexander Cohen Hospice House, 2201 Eculid Ave, Hughson Ca 95326

Visitation will be held from 5pm to 7pm on Monday, July 14, at Turlock Funeral Home, 425 N. Soderquist Rd. in Turlock.  A graveside service will be held at 10am on Tuesday, July 15th at Turlock Memorial Park.
