Dear Editor,

My family moved to Turlock in 1976. This is my home, and I care deeply about its future. I want our Mayor to be someone with experience, common sense and a genuine love for this community. That is why I am supporting Amy Bublak for Mayor.

Since 2020, the city has balanced its budgets and grown its reserves from $9.8 million to $35 million. Police and fire staffing has been strengthened, and our roads are finally receiving the attention they have needed for years. Columbia Pool is open again, and improvements have been made for our seniors and families.

Amy also understands that local businesses are the backbone of Turlock. She has supported programs that help businesses open, create jobs and become part of our community.

What matters most to me is that Amy has proven she can lead. She spent more than 20 years in law enforcement, served on the City Council and has now served two terms as Mayor. She knows this city, she understands how local government works, and she is not afraid to make difficult decisions.

Do I expect to agree with every decision any Mayor makes? Of course not. But I do expect honesty, strength, experience and accountability. Amy has demonstrated those qualities.

This election is about who is best prepared to lead Turlock forward. For me, that choice is clear. Voting for positive growth, proven experience and strong leadership means voting for Amy Bublak.

She has earned my vote, and I hope she earns yours too. Amy does not just talk about what she wants to do. She has a plan to implement and has openly shared her plan. The other two have not.
