The Theatre Department at CSU Stanislaus is staging “Constellations,” winner of the London Evening Standard Theatre Award for Best Play.

The show is being directed by CSU Professor and Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival award-winner Jere O'Donnell and stars Stan State students Lexi Silva and Sean Trew.

It’s a play about free will and friendship; it’s also about quantum multiverse theory, love, and honey.

“Constellations was written by English playwright Nick Payne and had its stage debut in 2012. That year it won best play from the Evening Standard Theatre Awards. It debuted on Broadway in 2015 and was nominated for three Drama League Awards, including best play.

Shows are at 8 p.m. tonight and Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday.

Tickets are $10 general admission and $8 for students, faculty, staff, seniors, and military. Tickets can be purchased in person at the box office, online at www.csustan.edu/event/theatre/constellations or over the phone at 667-3166.
