Card game ends with stabbing

A Turlock man took being a sore loser to a new height when he stabbed a man because he was upset with the outcome of a card game.

Raquel Medrano, 42, was arrested on suspicion of aggravated assault for the stabbing that injured one.

The incident began around 9 p.m. Feb. 10 when the Turlock Police Department received a report of a man armed with a kitchen knife in the 800 block of Wakefield Road.

According to the police report, Medrano became upset during a card game and stabbed the victim with the kitchen knife. The victim sustained non-life threatening injuries and was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.

Officers arriving at the scene found Medrana and were able to take him into custody without incident.
