The Turlock Police Department is investigating a carjacking that occurred in downtown Turlock Thursday night.

No one was injured in the incident, though the suspect was armed with a handgun, said Turlock Police spokesperson Officer Steve Rodrigues.

The two victims were sitting in their parked car when they were approached by a black man possibly in his 30s. The man pulled out a handgun and demanded the two occupants get out of the car. The two complied and the suspect fled in the vehicle, Rodrigues said.
