The Turlock Police Department is investigating a three vehicle collision that blocked off a section of Golden State Boulevard Wednesday morning.
One driver and one passenger were injured in the crash and were taken to a nearby hospital with non-life threatening injuries, said Turlock Police spokesperson Officer Steve Rodrigues.
The collision happened around 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at the intersection of Golden State Boulevard and Atherstone Road.
A vehicle was traveling southbound on Golden State Boulevard when for some reason it struck a curb, which caused it to careen into two other vehicles that were stopped for a traffic light at the intersection.
The collision caused the vehicle to overturn and pinned the driver inside, Rodrigues said. He was extricated by the Turlock Fire Department and he and his passenger were transported by ambulance to a nearby hospital.
The drivers of the two vehicles stopped at the traffic light had complaints of pain, Rodrigues said.
The investigation into the collision is ongoing.
