Sheriff's detectives continue to piece together clues on the trail hopefully leading to the person or persons responsible for the death of a 24-year-old mother whose burned body turned up on a rural Ceres property on Monday.

Authorities say the victim was Lauren Grace London, whose Facebook page listed her as living in Turlock, and ruled the death as a homicide. Her burned body was found on a dirt road between orchards in the 4300 block of Blaker Road across from the Ceres wastewater treatment plant. A person who was walking through the orchard found the body near a pile of dry branches and called 911 at 2:27 p.m. A burned furniture dolly was found near the body.

Sheriff's detectives haven't said if the discovery site was where the death took place or if she was killed somewhere else and dumped there. Sheriff's Department spokesman deputy Anthony Bejaran would not divulge how the woman — who would have been 25 on Monday — died.
London, a 2008 Hughson High School graduate, leaves behind her parents, sister Lindsay London, and daughter Kennidee who was born in April 2013.

A Lauren Grace Memorial Fund is seeking to raise $7,000 to pay for funeral expenses and help with her daughter's college fund through gofundme.com. A total of $4,270 had been raised by 83 people in 16 hours on Thursday morning.

Anyone with information on the homicide or any suspects is urged to contact Detective Frank Soria at 525-7080.
