One man was arrested for suspected driving under the influence and another for resisting arrest after running from a non-injury crash in a Turlock neighborhood, the Turlock Police department reported.

Around 10:30 p.m. Monday the police department received a report of a car that had crashed up onto a curb and two occupants had run from the scene. Officers found the crashed vehicle on Myrtle Street and a witness to the crash.

The vehicle registration led officers to a home nearby and inside the residence they found Nathan Wallis, 21, said Turlock Police spokesperson Steve Rodrigues.

Wallis was suspected of driving under the influence and placed under arrest.

Nearby the home officers located Brian Torosian, 48, who showed signs of intoxication, including being unable to maintain his balance, said Rodrigues.

Officers were placing Torosian under arrest when he allegedly tried to make a run for it. The attempt was unsuccessful and he was arrested for public intoxication and resisting arrest.
