A man purposefully trying to irritate the residents of Julian Street by racing his vehicle at a high rate of speed, ended up crashing his vehicle and being placed under arrest on numerous charges.
The incident began around 7 p.m. Saturday when Anthony Leyva, 21, was seen speeding in the 400 block of Julian Street, according to the Turlock Police Department.
A neighbor yelled at Leyva to slow down. Instead of slowing down or leaving the area, Leyva allegedly raced by two more times and intentionally swerved towards a group of people standing outside, according to the police report.
The sudden swerve at a high rate of speed caused Leyva to lose control of his vehicle and he crashed into a fence.
The police were called and Leyva was arrested for two counts of felony assault, one felony count of child endangerment, misdemeanor hit and run and driving on a suspended license.
