The Turlock Police Department is investigating a drive by shooting on Angelus Street where a home was struck in an attempt to shoot a man.

No injuries were reported from the incident and the intended victim could not be located.

Shortly before 1:30 p.m. Monday the Turlock Police Department received a call reporting several bullets had just struck a home in the 200 block of Angelus Street.

Officers responding the scene learned a silver colored sedan had been seen driving down the street just as the shooting occurred.

The target of the shooter was a man walking along the street, who started running from the area as the gunfire erupted, said Turlock Police Sgt. Russ Holeman.

It appears the man was not hit by any of the gunfire, though officers did find several bullets lodged into the exterior of a home.

There was no description on the shooter.

Anyone with information on the shooting is asked to contact the Turlock Police Department’s Tip Line at 668-5550 extension 6780 or email at tpdtipline@turlock.ca.us.
