Man found asleep at intersection charged with DUI

A man found asleep behind the wheel of his car at a Turlock intersection was arrested for driving under the influence when he was unable to complete a field sobriety test.

At 12:46 a.m. Tuesday Turlock Police officers found Clinton Lane, 24, asleep in the driver’s seat of a vehicle at the intersection of Taylor Road and N. Golden State Boulevard.

The engine was running at the time, according to the police report.

Officers woke Lane up and attempted to have him complete a field sobriety test, but according to the police report, Lane’s level of intoxication was so high that he was unable to do so.

Lane was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of a controlled substance.
