The Turlock Police Department is investigating a robbery at a Turlock fast food restaurant that happened early Sunday.

The suspect feigned having a gun during the robbery, but his attempts were for naught as he left empty-handed, the Turlock Police Department reported. His antics however, did cause a customer in the drive through to leave without getting his food.

The robbery was reported at 12:21 a.m. Sunday at the Wendy’s at 2395 Geer Rd.

The suspect approached the drive-through window on foot while a customer was waiting to pick up food. The suspect told an employee that he had a gun and demanded cash. No gun was ever seen and the employee refused to hand over any money, according to the police report.

The customer left the drive-through as the incident began.

The suspect fled the area and was last seen headed westbound on W. Tuolumne Road.

The suspect was described as a Hispanic man in his 20s. He was about 5 feet, 9 inches tall. He was wearing a dark hoodie and blue jeans.

Anyone with information about the robbery is asked to call the police department at 668-5550.
