A man previously reported missing was found by a Turlock Police officer during a traffic stop and the driver was charged with false imprisonment.

The traffic stop was made around 3:30 a.m. Tuesday in the area of E. Canal Drive and N. Denair Avenue.

The vehicle had been listed as possibly associated with the man’s disappearance, said Turlock Police spokesperson Officer Mayra Lewis.

The missing man was a passenger in the car and 42-year-old Nathaniel Marsaw was behind the wheel.

The man was not injured, but investigators were able to determine he had been held against his will, Lewis said.

Marsaw was booked on suspicion of false imprisonment.
