A man panhandling in Turlock was arrested Wednesday on multiple warrants.

Around 12:30 p.m. Wednesday Turlock police officers contacted Larry Wilcox, 44, in the 3000 block of Countryside Drive as he was panhandling for money.

Wilcox allegedly gave officers a false name, but they were able to determine his true identity and found he had three active warrants out of Modesto.

One warrant was for a felony narcotic arrest and the other two were for panhandling, according to the Turlock Police Department.

Wilcox was taken into custody without incident.

Turlock has a city ordinance prohibiting people from standing or sitting on city medians.
