Police seek robbery suspect

The Turlock Police Department is seeking a robbery suspect who pulled a box cutter on a store manager when confronted about stealing alcohol.

The robbery happened around 3 a.m. Wednesday at the Safeway store at 3051 Countryside Drive.

The suspect was witnessed placing two bottles of alcohol into a backpack. He was confronted by the store manager, who told him to return the bottles.

The suspect then pulled out a box cutter and threatened the manager with it. The manager backed away and the robber left the store, according to the police report.

The suspect was described as a white male wearing camouflage pants, a green jacket and a baby blue backpack. He left the area in a newer model Ford Fusion.
