Two teens suspected of being involved in a residential burglary were arrested Tuesday after a high speed pursuit.
The incident began around 10:30 a.m. when Turlock Police officers were responding to a burglary in the area of Berkeley Avenue and El Capitan Drive. An officer spotted a vehicle believed to be involved in the burglary in the area of N. Quincy Road.
The officer made a U-turn and got behind the vehicle, which promptly sped off, according to the police report.
The pursuit was short in length, but hit speeds in excess of 90 miles per hour. It came to an end when the vehicle high-centered on a pile of dirt on the side of N. Quincy Road, near Monte Vista Avenue.
The 16-year-old driver was taken into custody and booked into Juvenile Hall on charges of felony evading and possession of stolen property because the vehicle had been reported stolen.
A 15-year-old passenger was wanted by juvenile probation and was booked as well.
A third teenager in the car was not charged and was released.
