TPD

The Turlock Police Department is investigating a robbery at a convenience store Sunday night.

The robbery was reported at 9:59 p.m. Sunday in the 4700 block of N. Golden State Boulevard.

Video footage from the store shows a silver vehicle pull into the parking lot and park on the south side of the store. About 20 minutes later the suspect exits the passenger side of the car and enters the store, said Turlock Police spokesman Sgt. Michael Parmley.

The suspect demanded money be put into a bag and threatened to shoot the clerk if she did not comply, though no weapon was seen, Parmley said.

The suspect also took lottery tickets.

The suspect wore a skull and crossbones bandana over his head and a red bandana over his face. He was wearing dark overalls, gray and black gloves and appeared to have dark colored skin with a shaved head.  He was described as being between 5 feet, 8 inches to 5 feet, 11 inches in height with a thin build. The suspect fled to the vehicle he arrived in and left northbound on Golden State Boulevard.

Anyone with information about the robbery is asked to contact the Turlock Police Department at (209) 668-5550.
