The names of the two men shot to death in a Winton garage have been identified as Juan Jose Cruz Luna, 37, and Helder Manera Mauleon, 31, according to the Merced County Coroner’s Office.

The two men were shot to death around 10 p.m. March 20 at a home in the 7000 block of Onyx Avenue. The Merced County Sheriff’s Department found the two victims in the garage of the residence and a third male victim in the house.

All three had sustained multiple gunshot wounds, said sheriff spokesperson Deputy Ed Katen.

The victim found in the house was airlifted to a Modesto hospital, where he underwent surgery. His condition is said to be stable.

The two men in the garage were pronounced dead at the scene by the attending paramedics, Katen said.

No suspect information has been released at this time.
