TPD crime scene

A man is recovering from a puncture wound he sustained after a woman jumped into the back of his truck and stabbed him, according to the Turlock Police Department.

The suspect was identified as Tiffany Amerson, 33. She was arrested on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon, said Turlock Police spokesperson officer Mayra Lewis.

The assault was reported around 1:30 p.m. Sunday in the 300 block of Lander Avenue.

The victim told officers that an unknown woman had jumped into the back of his pickup truck and stabbed him through the back window. The man sustained a small puncture wound to the back of his head and was taken by ambulance to a nearby hospital with non-life threatening injuries, Lewis said.

The man was able to give a detailed description of his attacker. The investigation led to Amerson being identified as a possible suspect. The day after the assault the police department located Amerson and took her into custody. The victim was able to positively identify her as the attacker, Lewis said.
