The Turlock Police Department is investigating a woman’s report that she was sexually assaulted by two men she met outside a Lander Avenue business.

The assault was reported around 6 p.m. Sunday, but is believed to have occurred sometime late Saturday or early Sunday morning.

The woman told investigators she was at a liquor store in the 600 block of Lander Avenue when she was approached by two men.  According to the police report, the two men offered to walk the woman home and she agreed.

The men instead led the woman to a nearby location and raped her, according to her statement.

The woman told investigators she did not know the two men.

There was no description available of the suspects.

It’s unknown at this time if the case is related to two earlier reported cases of sexual assault. On Dec. 6 a woman reported being kidnapped from Broadway Park and raped by three men. On Nov. 23, a 44-year-old woman at Donnelly Park said she was taken at knifepoint by a lone man and sexually assaulted in a nearby alley.

Anyone with information about the case is asked to contact the Turlock Police Department at 668-5550.
