The first night sporting event was hosted at Pitman High School’s turf football and soccer field and all-weather track on Monday night when the Pride’s junior varsity and varsity boys’ soccer squads hosted Patterson in pre-league matchups. Despite both teams ending the night in the loss column, the games marked a new era in Pitman High School athletics.
In addition to the stadium lights that have been installed for nearly three weeks now, a brand-new, state-of-the-art scoreboard made its debut after being installed last week. The electronic scoreboard was made possible thanks to a $35,000 donation from the Turlock Lions Club this past summer.
