The City of Turlock's current water schedule allows residents with an odd address to water on Wednesdays and Sundays. Residents with an even address may water on Tuesdays and Saturdays. Watering is prohibited between the hours of 6 a.m. and 9 p.m. on weekdays and between noon and midnight on the weekends.

Beginning June 1, the new watering schedule will go into effect. The new schedule will prohibit watering between the hours of 9  a.m. and  7 p.m., Sunday through Saturday. Watering days will remain the same. For more information, contact the Municipal Services Department at (209) 668-5590 or visit the website at www.CityofTurlock.org. CONSERVATION TIP #50

Toilet leaks: Toilets are notorious for their silent leaks and can steal thousands of gallons of water. Put a few drops of food coloring to the tank. Do not flush. If the toilet is leaking, color will appear in the bowl within about 10 minutes. Check the toilet for worn out, corroded or bent parts, especially the flapper valve. Most replacement parts are inexpensive, readily available and easily installed.
