Great Balls of Fire
The Sierra Repertory Theatre will present “Great Balls of Fire” — a dive into the music that shaped rock ’n’ roll, from the explosive hits of Jerry Lee Lewis to the sounds of Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, Buddy Holly, gospel — with shows at 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 2 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at the East Sonora Theatre.

Modesto Roadsters: It’s Faith Fest Night on Friday when the Modesto Roadsters host the Yuba-Sutter Freebirds at the Modern Woodmen Field. First pitch is at 7:11 p.m. There will be fireworks after the game. For tickets, visit modestoroadsters.com.

Disciples of a Craftsman: The grand premiere of “Disciples of a Craftsman” — film centered around the ideas of hope, community, and redemption — will be held at 7 p.m. Saturday at The State Theatre in downtown Modesto.
