On October 14, 2013, Danny S Mendoza age 77 went peacefully to be with the Lord with his family and friends by his side.  Danny was born in Merced, CA to Salvador and Maria Mendoza on September 29, 1936. 
He lived in the Livingston and Merced Falls area with his parents and later moved to Delhi and then Turlock where he lived with Mary till he retired and moved to Placerville, CA.    
Danny is survived by his wife, Mary, of Placerville; son, Danny S Mendoza and his wife Diane, of Snelling; daughter, Lorrie Munson, of Turlock; son, Mark Mendoza, of Delhi; brother, Moses (Moe) Mendoza, of Livingston and sister, Gloria Mendoza, also of Livingston. 
Danny is also survived by five grandchildren; Lyndie Markum, Jillian Powers, Daniel Saucedo, Leila Mendoza and Marcus Mendoza and five grate-grandchildren; Sofia Markum, Eva Markum, Kylie Powers, Lilly Saucedo and AriAnna Saucedo.    
Danny was well known for his Christmas house on Myrtle St in Turlock where every year you could see his home for the glow of lights from blocks away.  He always welcomed people to take pictures with their children and friends.  
Danny worked at several types of jobs in the area but his love was working with wood and building materials. In 1972 Danny joined Valley Distributors, Inc and in 1979 became part owner with Gene Lively and Danny Vierra. 
He retired in 2001 but still worked there part time till 2007.  He enjoyed his time at Valley Distributors and the customers and always had a smile for them and had time to give them a laugh.
Danny’s family request that everyone who knew him celebrate his life in their own way and remember all the good times and laughter we all had with him.
