Lily Yohannan, 88, of Turlock, passed away in San Jose at Good Samaritan Hospital. Lily was born in Iran to Avshalim and Soria Shlemoon, and came to the U.S. in 1963 with her late husband, Darius Yohannan, who was a minister for the St. John Assyrian Presbyterian Church for many years.
Lily is survived by her children, Nancy Yohannan, Jaleh (George) Atniel and Jordan (Janet) Yohannan, all of San Jose; grandchildren, Demator, Babalonia, Atniel and Dariuos Yohannan; siblings, Nelly Youssef of San Jose and Homer (Jenia) Shlemoon of Turlock; niece, Manijeh (Michael) Valley and her children, Danielle and Monique Valley, all of Los Gatos; and nephew, Shnider (Evelyn) Youssef and his son, John Youssef.
Lily was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and two sisters, Guity Shlemoon and Gerosha Addy.
Visitation will be held from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Thursday, April 8 at St. John Assyrian Presbyterian Church in Turlock. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, April 9, also at St. John Assyrian Presbyterian Church. Burial will follow at Turlock Memorial Park.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. John Assyrian Presbyterian Church or the Assyrian Presbyterian Church of San Jose.
