Funeral services for Nellie Solomon, 84, of San Jose, have been held. Burial was at Turlock Memorial Park. She died Sept. 4, 2009, at Terrion Gardens in San Jose.
Nellie was born Dec. 30, 1924, in Bagdad, Iraq. She was a seamstress for 60 years and a member of the Assyrian Presbyterian Church of San Jose.
Nellie is survived by daughters, Margaret Sabala of San Jose, Judy Washington of Elk Grove and Jamie Cortes of Alameda; brother, Julius Benjamin of San Jose; five grandchildren; and six great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Solomon; brothers, Nelson Benjamin and Edison Benjamin; sister, Serena Benjamin; and parents, Joel and Nancy Benjamin.
