Former Turlock High baseball players are being recruited to reunite on Saturday for the third annual Turlock High Alumni Baseball game.
Boasting former Bulldogs as far back as the class of 1975, the alumni game consists of both a home run derby and an old school, pick-up style game, all to raise money for the THS Baseball Scholarship Fund.
So far 25 former Turlock players have signed up to play, but the game's organizers are encouraging and expecting more to show up Saturday morning with baseball pants and cleats in hand.
Those wishing to participate will have to pay the $30 entry fee, while spectators will be charged $5.
“It's just good to see everybody get back together and kind of reconnect with each other and see guys they haven't seen in a long time,” Turlock head baseball coach Mark de la Motte said. “We've had guys come just to hang out and talk to their old teammates.”
The home run derby will begin at 10 a.m. The game begins at 1 p.m.
